More About the Foundation:
The Community Foundation of Southwest Missouri’s (CFSM) mission is to enhance the quality of life in our region through resource development, community grant making, collaboration, and public leadership.
Community Foundation of Southwest Missouri, is a local not for profit affiliate of Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO).
Since 1999, the Community Foundation of Southwest Missouri has given back over $3 million in grants, scholarships, and charitable donations. The Foundation currently has 59 donor advisors, non-profit, municipal, and church capacity building and endowment funds, with assets totaling $5.9 million.
Founded in 1973, CFO has since grown to include 41 affiliate community foundations and more than 1,600 charitable funds totaling approximately $140 million. During the 2009 fiscal year the Foundation gave back $15.9 million in charitable grants and distributions, a record number, and received more than $16 million in charitable contributions. Since its inception, CFO has made more than $70 million in grants and distributions.
